This place has pest. Had to call the County to get it under control as the Terminex guy said they don't listen to him in controlling the issues.

Alright, alright... I know it's a Chinese Buffet in Taylor... what was I really expecting? There really wasn't much of a selection that looked very appetizing. The food looked dry and the sauces were coagulated... kinda like the food had been sitting there all day. Most of the offerings were breaded and fried, aside from the chicken and broccoli. The egg drop soup wasn't bad, but the egg rolls were rather bitter-tasting. Several of the spots on the buffet table were left open and empty throughout the entire course of our meal. (Something I might be able to understand at lunch when the full menu isn't available and the prices and lower, but not during the evening dinner time crowd.)

Some restaurants lack a sense of creativity when it comes to choosing a name that will not only make their customers come back again, but also reflects the true spirit of the establishment. I decided to save the trouble for this establishment, by calling it "The Temple of Doom Chinese Buffet." Not even the combined efforts of Gordon Ramsey, or Clint Eastwood could save this place from it's fate in the annals bad restaurants in the Motor City. In fact, the former would probably give up his current career and take up retirement; while Dirty Harry would need more than his .44 caliber Smith and Wesson to take out the roaches and other pests at this place. The food was so mediocre and bland, its like it was warmed up from a day earlier. I have been to several Chinese buffet style restaurants, but this place ranks at the bottom of the list. Moreover, the severe stomach cramps I received later on that night were very unpleasant to say the least. My digestive tract was never more happy to expel something this awful in its life. If the China Buffet was located in a community with a higher Asian population, they would have been out of business years ago. Believe me when I say that Chinese people know good food when they find it, but two of my friends who are from Shanghai, said this place just really sucks. I wish I would have asked them sooner, as I could have avoided this trip into the abysmal depths of hell. Personally, I feel that a can of La Choy Chow Mein has more going for it, than what is served at this place.

I agree with the reviewer that said its hit or miss with this place. The lunch price is only six dollars which is good. The service is not bad. But sometimes the food is good and some days its like nawwwww! The people there are friendly. If the food can become consistent then I could see visiting on a regular basis.

This place is really hit or miss. There's no telling when you're gonna get a great meal or when the buffet table is going to be empty. I'd say the chances are about 70% of numerous choices, and 30% bare bones. However, when it's good, it's good.
